Throughout her 22-year career in insurance rehabilitation, Grace was a catalyst for bridging business and claimant needs to create wins for all. Working with diverse teams of professionals to creatively solve problems in health care and vocational services delivery, she was responsible for oversight of rehabilitation services for Michigan Farm Bureau Insurance’s claims division. In 2003 Grace launched her coaching business where she provides leadership and career coaching, along with organizational change consulting to nonprofits. Now at Pondera, her combined corporate and business experience has prepared her to help leadership teams address challenges that keep them from optimal performance. Her coaching and facilitation skills help her clients develop improved communication, collaboration, and innovation to create thriving work places and top performing teams.
Grace has a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and Master of Arts in Rehabilitation Counseling from Michigan State University. She is trained and certified through the Coaches Training Institute and completed their programs in Co-Active Leadership and in Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching. Since 2006, she has held the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential through the International Coach Federation. She also is certified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.
Grace and her husband JB McCombs live in East Lansing where they enjoy the beauty of lakeside living. She has served on four boards of directors for environmental and faith based organizations in the greater Lansing area. Her contributions to the coaching profession through ICF Michigan chapter include initiating several innovative programs, and she has been published in Choice Magazine for coaches.
